Putikitiki Time

Thursday afternoons are planned for Putikitiki Time.  We play together on the playground.  We are developing and learning many skills at play - gross motor skills, turntaking, team work, communication.  Next term we want to start exploring the trees and bush that surrounds Putikitiki.

Spring Time

The children have been drawing Spring flowers.  Here is some of our beautiful art

Operetta: Turangawaewae

Cross Country

Well done to Room 6 for a great cross country run!

Libby came first in the Year 0 girls race, and Lily came second.  Tino pai girls, a great run.

Daffodil sketching

This was a really difficult sketch for the children, as the daffodil has a double bloom.  Kade in particular did a great sketch, looking at it very closely, and drawing with great perspective.

Self Portraits

Last week the children drew their self portraits.  They had to think about the colour of their hair, eyes, and skin.
